5. Every bill of lading, or similar document of title, issued in The Bahamas which contains or is evidence of any contract to which the rules apply shall contain an express statement that it is to have effect
In applying standards, Bahamas Recognised Organisations must take account of any relevant interpretation, clarification or other advice issued by the Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) in any BMA Information Bulletins or Marine Notices, or in the Bahamas National Requirements.
General In general, the BMA will only approve equipment manufactured in The Bahamas. In such cases approval will normally be carried out in conjunction with a Bahamas Recognised Organisation.
